Small Flowered Pawpaw

An upright, small, deciduous tree with an oval crown of large teardrop shaped dark green leaves.  Unique reddish-brown flowers give way to small green-yellow fleshy edible fruits somewhat like papaya.  Fruits are about the size of a peanut and attract birds and other wildlife. Foliage turns yellow in fall.
