Cornel Leaf Aster

Low-growing basal leaf rosette sprouts a semi-erect, reddish colored stem topped with small flowers. The numerous flowers are about 1/2" across, have white petals, and yellow centers.  Stems are often weighed down by flowers and seem to creep along the ground. This plant does well in dry, shady understory conditions.
